Engaging Digital Activities

Each unit in our curriculum packages features engaging digital notebook activities. This includes digital Google Classroom activities for World History and US History that are easy to assign and grade.

There are primary and secondary source analysis digital resources for each curriculum, like all of these for World History. Our Civics and Government also includes over 30 digital notebook activities on the 3 Branches of Government, plus many more for each unit. 

Every unit also  concludes with online review games and digital assessments using Google Forms. These are both easy to assign and can be automatically scored for seamless instant grading.

Distance Learning Plans

Every unit now begins with a "Distance Learning Hub" prior to the daily lesson plans. Here, you will find all the best activities for online learning in one place. 

No matter if you are using Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, or Edmodo, these digital resources are perfect for engaging your students while they're learning at home.  These include:

Video Lessons

The Flipped Classroom strategy was originally designed to save class time for more interactive activities. These video lessons are perfect for use with Distance Learning and explain the important concepts you need to cover just like you would in class.

Every unit in Civics, World, and US History includes fully-narrated video lessons. Each video is about 20 minutes, can be imported into Google Classroom or other Learning Management Systems, and includes guided notes for students to complete as they watch the lesson.

Mobile App

Joining Students of History also gives you access to our new mobile app.

Just download the app from iTunes or Google Play and sign-in with your login information.

You can then access every lesson plan and resource on-the-go. Each lesson plan page (or Distance Learning plan) is optimized for browsing on the app. You can mark lessons "complete" as you progress through the curriculum and add Google Docs to your Google Drive, ll right from your phone.
