I have years of classroom experience and understand that even if you might have a smaller class size (hopefully!), you have a diverse range of students in the one group. What works for one student won't work for another.
Each of our lesson plans in our curriculum packages for World History, US History, and Civics/American Government include multiple options.
Each lesson is based on effective strategies for Special Education that have been used in real classrooms with real students.
Traditional teaching methods just aren't as successful for students with disabilities. These students need creative and flexible lessons that are designed for their needs.

The Flexibility You Need
In any one lesson, there might be 2-4 different resources you can select from. There are also links to short videos to help reinforce content, editable Google Docs, hands-on interactive notebook pages, and more!
The flexibility of having multiple resources to choose from means you have options that will work for ALL your students!
Some students can use a simplified reading, while others can use web links and a digital notebook page.
You can also have students working independently or in differentiated pairs while you pull others aside to provide direct help.
The variety and flexibility of engaging activities is amazing!
PowerPoints & Flipped Classroom
Another fantastic benefit for your students are our PowerPoint presentations! They're perfect for Special Ed students - all filled with engaging visuals that help students connect with the content.
The notes are simple and focused on the key concepts students need to know. Even a complex historical event like the French Revolution is broken down in ways to help students understand.
Each PowerPoint also comes with a graphic organizer or guided outline notes. Both the PowerPoints and notes are editable, so you can modify them to fit your students/needs.
There's also "Flipped Classroom" video versions of every presentation currently being added! These can be used with students who have a hard time focusing in class
